The capital of the largest empire of the ancient world, its architecture is full of idealism and harmony of form. Its bold and artistic buildings often provide inspiration to Stephen, whether it is a simple sketch of a frontal elevation or a vast aerial view that tickles his fancy. Romans were also well known for practising perpective drawing, although they are most remembered for the highly regarded form of art of beautiful and detailed sculptures of people.
